I’ve also just celebrated my 5th anniversary! I am now 5 years cancer free! Woo hoo! I started Bardangle Jewlery and I’m in desperate need of HELP! Bardangle sells jewelry and accessories via our website and through our Sales Associate Program.  I do my own website and it looks it! My business cards are plain, boring white. Nothing conveys how fabulous my merchandise is. I know how to sell jewelry just not how to do the marketing end. I think you should vote for me because I am on the cusp of success and, with a little bit of professional help I know that my business will succeed. Plus, I’m really nice. I work with various ovarian cancer charities and hold fundraisers for them. I sell silk bags  from Cambodia and I am setting up a partnership with an NGO in Cambodia to help sexually abused women. I should win because, simply put, MY COMPANY AND I ROCK! We inspire woman to feel good about their hair and let them know that it's ok if you're hair is "different!" We also educate women on the proper way to care for their hair and love it when they have an "aha" moment! It's so cool for women to feel empowered by something as simple as their hair but it happens all the time! We know that with the proper designing of promotional materials, such as our logo, we will catch the eyes of more women than we are now. The more attention we garner, the more hair we can rock! I would love to have someone create an ad that I can re-size and use for other publications to keep things consistent. I have no idea how to create an ad. I can only supply you with photos and words that I would like. I am a hard worker and I volunteer as NC State Coordinator for the Association of Bridal Consultants and as Treasurer for Wish Upon A Wedding and don't really have time to create ads. I also have 3 beautiful girls and am trying to run a business.

I am a mother of two, a wife, I have a full time job as a consultant for a corporation and am trying through patience and hard work (not quitting my day job) to save enough to make my wedding planning business a full-time endeavor. I think I would be the perfect candidate to win this contest because I honestly need something to help my small business survive in the 21st century. Since I am working out of my home my website is my store and would be the main source of advertising it will also help me get new customers and keep the old ones coming back.

While I was a student at the University of Central Florida, I was actively involved in planning campus events, from Homecoming to Campus Activities to sorority/Greek functions.  I began helping friends plan their weddings, which I fell in love doing and decided to start my own wedding/event planning business!  After several years of successful bliss, we first found out that I was pregnant with our first son, and I decided to slow down to concentrate on our family.  Then with the arrival of our second son, that slowed business down more, and since then I’ve been itching to return to business full force.  I’ve always created my own business materials, but have realized that our image needs reinvention and new life, from our logo to website!   I would like to have it all – family, business/work, success, happiness and life!  I would love to have Savoir Faire Media help me achieve this!

I hope to win the contest because for the past year and half I have put my heart into producing an arts & entertainment blog with my friend from graduate school, Vanessa Camozzi. Many times we have worked for free and reached into our own pockets in order to produce content and grow our business into what we hope someday will be a full-fledged arts & entertainment online magazine.
The $500 design credit would help us make a huge step in that direction and would sincerely be like a dream come true for us -- two girls who have literally been operating for the past year & a half on a dream and a prayer.

Well, I have been putting off  a website for years.  And, I figured if I won $500. to put towards a website it would start the process of getting the ball rolling. As a visual artiest my clients need to know that I'm creative, modern and understand them. It would be foolish to believe that my work can stand alone without a strong marketing message behind it. My logo, website and business cards represent my work as much as the work itself. I would love to update our logo, and find a true voice for our style and quality of work we produce.

I've struggled for 14 years to make my passionate dream of being a profitable DJ happen. I've had it thrown in my face all 14 years that a DJ is not a "REAL" job. I'm determined to prove to all those people that it is and I can make it happen...despite all my failed efforts. I have volunteered immense hours of work, changed my marketing strategies countless times, attended DJ Conventions, purchased (and read) books and DVD's, even changed my business name. I recently decided to go back to college and switch majors to business hoping it will help with whatever it is I'm doing wrong. I know I have outstanding services and customer service (there's always room for improvement) but my problem is getting the phone to ring...Which leads me to MARKETING! All my life I helped others and continue to do so. Now, I need help!!!

Make a Difference Photography is all about giving back. The more sales I can generate, the more I can donate to Childhelp, the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter and other charities. Pageant Resale deserves the opportunity to grow! This idea grew from the mind of a struggling college student to be the largest pageant themed consignment site in existence. We continue to add clients every day, but there is so much more we want to accomplish! Our website is terribly outdated, and very hard to maintain after such incredible growth over the last 5 years. I've been DJing since I am 15 years old. Since I went full time with my business after graduating college, I have always been unhappy with the way my business's image. It really all starts with the logo. I never had one that I've been proud of. When I found Savoir Faire Media I thought, "Really? A company that gets it?" I've paid other designers to come up with concepts but none of them were really any good. I am hoping to win this contest so that in 2011 I can finally be proud to display my logo, business cards and website!

I graduated a year ago and have been desperately looking for an event planning job with no luck. I ended up moving from Orlando to New Hampshire to try and find some work. Recently, I got some great advice from a job-seekers newspaper article- “Hire yourself.” So I did! I am now the proud owner of Stephanie Irene Events, LLC. The problem is no startup money! I was able to get a domain name but couldn’t afford to hire anyone to do the site. I had someone working on it for me, but it was put on the backburner and has been at a standstill for months. I would try to do it myself but the last time I took a computer class was 2000, so my computer skills are seriously lacking! We have so much content that we can't show right now. Looking for creative ideas to get our services out there. Facebook has been amazing for us this year. Now it is time to blog and link the two together as one. We are very happy with the current site we have it just needs a face lift.
